Maruhon opened a brand new showroom in the main offices in Hamamatsu.  The showroom features an updated conference room, a species library, racks of samples for hands-on study and new open look.   Guests enter what we've nicknamed "The Black Hole," a stark space featuring a large Sapelli flitch, and 700 slides taken during Maruhon's travels around the world.

While racks of samples (above) are available for customers to handle, the reference library features both commercial and exotic woods from around the world.  We're seeking additional samples to complete the collection.  We're attempting to show all the features of each species, so, for example, we have samples of White Oak that are all heart, a mix of heart and sapwood, clear, and knotty.  If you can contribute reference samples to the library, they would be much appreciated.
